Rolling pins

My collection. Not nearly as big a collection as some I've seen in magazines, but enough for me. I'd rather have a lot of small collections than a few big collections, I've learned. Keeps it interesting.
Anyone rolling out pie crust this week?
Happy Thanksgiving!

I'll be back next week.

Your rolling pins are lovely. They remind me of my grammie's. I spent the evening rolling out sugar cookie dough...

So...I'm not the only one who is drawn to rolling pins! I wonder what it is about them that is so wonderfully unique. The feel of them, the weight perhaps. Maybe just knowing they have been around a long time...a link with women gone on before us. I've enjoyed seeing your collection. I only have 3 right now. I quit using the one with the green handles because the paint was chipping off into my dough. Surely they didn't use paint containing lead back then but who knows? I made 3 pies today, cherry, pumpkin and cinnamon carrot pie. The c.carrot pie is the favorite of the three with my husband. See there, it pays to try new things, I say to myself!...warmest wishes for a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Love it! I rolled out two piecrusts last week. One had a fluted edge & one I cut out little circles to place all along the edge....then off to the freezer they went to await their fillings!

These are wonderful! And to think of the stories & love which each one carries. (at least they LOOK like they've been around for a while.) Heartwarming!

I found a rolling pin company, which makes pins worthy of collecting. For all you collectors of vintage, throw in a few amazingly handcrafted new ones. Check out www.vermontrollingpins.com

PS: They also have a wood care product and handforged hooks, which they sell for displaying your beloved pins.

There is perceptibly a lot to know about this. I consider you made various nice points in features also.
